Mathilda's market, preparations...

I remember this moment last year, a day before the market and I was still finishing things... This time I am still finishing a few things but everything is packed and gathered in one spot so I can see exactly how many trips I need to make downstairs and back... Just seeing this stopped me from making more items that I already have enough of and concentrate on smaller items that don't take much space. The system worked!

So, I've got 3 buddies coming with me to decorate the table and attract attention. Do you think they are right for the job?

Last night I found out that our printer is not working and I had to make tags and new price signs in writing which is not the best option but I don't have any choice.

There are a few things I am taking from the Plushka's Makery like bias tape, paper, a few fabric pieces from my stash and stationery. The red fabric with the dots on the picture is going to be a table runner for my stall. The idea is to brighten up a table cloth that I will do my best to iron but somehow it manages to get wrinkly on the way every time! Well, we'll see:)

A few items from the new collection....

I've been working on this collection for some time now adding new items that will be included to my list. All of them are going to be themed around creative space....

The first piece of the collection is felt pincushions with owls and handmade buttons.

I also made it in lime as this is my favourite felt colour:)

I wanted to style a few pictures with items from my studio. My inspiration board definitely need updating but a few things will still stay like this piece of Far Far Away fabric that still captivate me by it's plum colour....

I followed some styling tips by Sophie from Her Library adventures and used my white vintage chair and a few vintage spools.

New pincushions will be traveling with me to Mathilda's market this Saturday.

Messy business....

Making felt toys can be a messy business. Sometimes I even forget how clean my space used to be....

Occasionally, it gets out of control with felt fluff and fabric scraps all over the table. I guess it's all part of the toy making fun though:)

A few more bunnies in the making for the shop...

There are less then 2 weeks left till Mathilda's Market and it's time to do stock intake and make more goodies. Nic from Yardage design posted a great link to Top 10 tips from Finders and Keepers about setting up your market stall which I found very useful! Today, I am going to analyse my stock and see what I can improve in both items diversity and display:)

I am back from Mathilda's market and we've had a great day! I had my best friend helping me and we had so much fun decorating our stall.

Thank you to everyone who came by! It was great to see a few of my lovely followers in person:)

The weather was perfect and we had great customers to talk to. It was nice to meet like-minded people who love handmade:)

Penguins family really enjoyed their day out and some of them found a new home.

Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming market. It's only a few days away and I am busy finishing things, ironing and, as I usually do, starting a few new items just because I want to make it a bit more hectic here:) Penguins and owl were asking for a mummy and I couldn't say no! I made one before and it was one of my first sales at the last market!

We were experimenting with my wooden letters and display. I was very nervouse this morning during set up and was changing the layout a few times until I was happy with the look.

It was lovely and sunny outside and people kept coming in...A few hours later a few baskets disappear along with crochet brooches and headbands....
