My creative space...

In my creative space, I've updated the inspiration board for Spring with a pink & Christmas theme...

The little yellow piece of felt is a little hint on my new toy I am in the process of drawing;)

The work continues on the Christmas collection so stay tuned for a little preview soon!

I love the idea of crochet covered stones - very pretty and decorative. One more project on my list:)

One-off crochet basket in lovely blue colour has been waiting for me to pick the fabric and I intend to stick with this combo of Liberty with tiny flowers and hand-printed linen by Thea&Sami. What do you think?

Miss Lollipop

She is one of the projects from the fabric that I bought last week. This one is 'Larkspur circle' by Alexander Henry.
I wanted to call her Bubblegum but my husband said she looks more like a Lollipop in bright packaging. So be it:)

This light pink felt has been around my craftroom for some time, first in the roll and then I cut out the shapes but couldn't match any fabric to it. So frustrating! When you have containers full of gorgeous material but nothing suits, it drives me crazy! 

Anyway, finally she found a match and I cannot stop looking at her. I am sure she would love to live in the nursery and start exploring this world with a little girl who is  as cute and curious!

Miss. Fuchsia, the creative process

I am so delighted that I had a chance yesterday to stop by a shop in a search for new Liberty fabrics for my stash. I cannot wait to share them with you on Sunday.
Most certainly, I never leave a fabric shop without some felt goodness and some unplanned fabric purchases. The Sevenberry fabric in bright pink was noticed straight away and I was lucky to find felt exactly the same color as flowers in the dots. 
Miss. Fuchsia was just meant to be and usually I have to make a toy the same day as inspiration is very unpredictable. 

Thus, I came home and cut the parts out, found matching threads and it all just fell into places. I would say that some toys just make themselves, they just need my little hands to do the stitching;)

My favorite moment is when a toys has a face then I can see what needs to be added to compliment the character like little bow in this case. 

She is very sweet and timid. I think, if I find other colors of this fabric, there will be more bunnies made. It's very nice to work with and the flowery dots are just too pretty!
