Thank you lovely ladies who placed an order in my destash shop last week! It helped me enormously to free some space for the new fabrics:) I am trying very hard to limit my stash to 3 shelves and the moment! There are still fabrics left so please, stop by and have a look.

P.S. The closing date for giveaways/raffles, including my giveaway for the Flood Appeal has been extended to 12pm AEDST 26 January (Australia Day).

Fabric giveaway/auction for Flood Relief Appeal

We all know about the horror that people are going through in QLD. I already blogged before about a great charity auction here but there are so many more of them happening on Facebook and blogs!

I was watching the news and felt desperate to help! Inspired by the charity auctions that were organized by wonderful people on Facebook (check them out here and here) where Plushka donated her creations. However, I still felt that more can be done and Nic from Yardage design inspired me to put a fabric bundle together for a giveaway/auction:

Fabric bundle for flood appeal relief

Fat quarters from the bundle 1
Fat quarters from the bundle 2

There rules are (please read this carefully):
~ this giveaway is open to everyone, including those who live overseas
~ postage is included to anywhere in the world
~ to enter, you must donate $5 to the
Premier's Flood Relief Appeal (international donations are possible)
~ enter as many times as you like but each entry/donation must have a separate receipt number (eg. donate $5 ten times if you want to donate $50, then comment ten times with each receipt number) - this is to keep the entries equitable.
~ once you have donated, return to this blog post and leave a comment with your receipt number (just comments with receipt numbers please, no general comments)
~ this is an honour based system. Please don't use the same receipt number for heaps of different giveaways. The idea is to raise as much money for people severely affected by flooding as we can.
~ a winner will be randomly drawn on the 24th January at 9am AEDT.

Just $5 can make a difference for those people who are in need!

Huge thank you in advance and stay safe!

Flood appeal

There are no words to describe the horror that happening in QLD state at the moment. So many people lost everything and the flood levels are still raising! It is so nice to see that Handmade community united and there are appeals and auctions that we can participate in to help the victims of the torrential rain. Here is one of them that Plushka is going to participate in by donating a few items to the auction.

Please, join the Handmade Kids flood appeal page on Facebook here to stay updated and to bid on those gorgeous items that were already generously donated by the crafters from all corners of Australia! The auction will start on Friday (14/1/11) so if you want to donate an item or service it's not too later either.

You can also donate here to the Queensland flood relief appeal.

Please, stay safe and take care!
